this web site was created via my freelance client gold dog communications for crowell & moring. crowell began in 1979 when 35 lawyers left a prominent “white-shoe” firm to start a new kind of law firm. since then, crowell has Showbox grown to become one of washington, dc’s most innovative and successful firms, with 1,000+ attorneys and locations around the world. for example, they were one of the first law firms to eschew the billable hour in favor of alternative fee arrangements. the website creates a new brand for the firm around the theme “strong beyond measure,” as it tells the stories behind the stats–and what they mean to prospective clients. the new site was named the top law firm website of 2013 by leading law blog habeas, and praised for telling “a great story in a city where narrative matters.”
